Is healthcare recruiting(for traveling nurses) a good profession to go into? |
I'm wondering if anyone knows the outlook for the profession-I want to know if it is going to be lucrative and reliable? Thank you~ There has been a nursing shortage for a number of years now. With the population of the US getting older and the "Baby Boomers" getting ready to hit retirement, the needs for Healthcare Professionals does not show much of a sign of slowing down. Also, with Managed Care and the trend of shorter and shorter required in hospital stays, out patient procedures and the like, Traveling Nurses and the Home Health Nurse is going to only increase in need. I thin you are going to be just fine. My only recommendation is to keep up with other professions in the healthcare recruiting (Physical & Occupational Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy) for when you are ready to branch out from just nurses. Healthcare recruiting in the midwest is very lucrative, especially for pharmacists. I don't know the future outlook, but it is definately a career worth researching. yes,yes,yes-big bonuses, good pay, travel expenses-call your local recruiters at hospitals, call the companies who offer these jobs-big bucks for nurses. |
