From those who have done it, would you recommend travel nursing?

I have a friend who is a travelling nurse. There are advantages and disadvantages. If you are single, with no attachments and children. then this is the best time for you to explore different places for free. You are also given allowance for housing and travelling. The disadvantage is that you have to be on the go and that you cant have alot of things since you travel alot.
However, if you are married and attached, that would be a different story.
With regards to salaries, better ask your agency what the difference they have to offer you if you are travelling or not! take a 3-5 years scenario of your career.

I haven't but my mom has :)

i think it depends on how you prefer to live and if you have a family or not.

if you have kids it will be hard on them to move around a lot or if you have a spouse it might be hard on them to pick up move and get a new job. but that doesn't mean you can make this work

if you are single though this could be a really good thing. you get to see different parts of the country and I'm pretty sure they help pay for housing (possibly free? not positive) but you get good pay and interesting experience by seeing new things and going new places
