Do you have a "problem child" cat?

Most of my cats can be brats at times, but I have one that is my 'problem child'. He's ALWAYS in trouble!

You'll be drinking a soda, and he'll wait until you're taking a drink...then run across you and bump the can!
He'll get up on the shed, crouch down and wait for another cat to come up and play, then he'll charge them and knock them off!
Sometimes I'll prop up in bed and read and eat something. Next thing I know a paw comes under my book and snatches something off the plate! He doesn't care what he snags, he'll check it out when he gets it to see if it's something he wants!
When he gets a hairball, he runs to the dry food bowl to cough it up in!
Sometimes he gets SO wound up that I think he needs to be on 'kitty Prozac'

I've got a million "Muffy" stories!
Does anyone else have one of those 'little darlings"?

my girlfriends cat is crazy at night. he'll run around bouncing off the corner of her moms bed and run to the window, then not even a quarter of a second later, he'll run off the window ceil and jump off the bed to the door(since its closed all the time) then he'll run by my computer and knock stuff off of the tower, since its laying down(its one of those older looking ones but with newer version of windows with a newer hard drive) or knock down her mom ash tray off of a shoe box she has it sitting on while its on its side and her cup of soda she keeps up there as well, and knock it off into a bag she keeps next to it getting everything wet.. usually he does this at night and raises hell. he's pretty crazy. and alot of the time, i guess this is my fualt, he scratches at ppls feet and bites at them when someones coming in or going out of the room. he does it because i play with him with my feel alot of the time. so anyway, he's a pretty crasy cat. kind of annoying but what can i say, he's fun to play with.

yes

My cats are all sweet little angels!

Yes, unfortunately. I like it when he's sleeping.

No.

yeah i have a cat like that. i used to think he was just playful but he is soo bad sometimes. he requires all of my attention 24/7 and hates when i have company over
i call him my baby because he acts like one he is always needing something

no but i would love to(i have dogs instead) just sounds like the little fella has a wicked personality. my mums cat is a right git though, cats usually kill whatever they catch right? not this one he keeps them alive and then very kindly brings them into my mother and places them at her feet (alive) it could be anything mice , rats, snakes, but the best one had to be the hugest dragon fly you ever saw......... he stauntered in dropped it at her feet then just strolled away jumped on the settee and watched the fun unfold.......

He's not unique. My mate's cat Merlin is exactly the same. More bother than the other two cats and two dogs put together.

Lots of cats like that, I have one who's very similar to that (although not as bad) who likes to bat at my feet when I'm carrying boiling water! I work at a pharmacy, and we do have a cat who is on prescription Prozac, so you never know what could come out of a visit to the vet? :)

When I was growing up we had one of these. Her name was Bear and she was a pretty black cat. She just recently passed away at the age of 19 (human years).

She was so bad my parents had a "Beware of Attack Cat" sign on the front door. People would come to visit and they would always leave with scratches (she was never declawed). She would hide on a chair under the table and grab you as you went buy. She would sneak into stranger's cars that dared park on our street.

And this is the BEST! She would climb up on a car (any car) parked on the road, hike her leg up over her head and clean herself privately. This was most embarrassing.

We loved her dearly!

I have 5 indoor cats..& the smallest one, Mickie always picks fights with all of them. I don't think she knows her own size. When I go to bed, she meows at me so I'll raise the blanket & she sleeps underneath them right against me. They all have different personalities & I wouldn't want to live without any of them.

You do not have a "problem child". You have an attention seeker cat. I have one also. It wants your and anyone elses attention constantly. But it wants to be the one that directs the type of attention it wants and creates situations to get even more attention. These end up being the favorite and the pride and joy of the owner. But it does get on your nerves every now and then. Just make sure that you give the other cats, pets and people around you attention to, not just your "attention seeker" cat.

When cat is super-wired or gets into trouble put him/her into a cage with nothing in there, besides himself!

my kitten can gets so hyper sometimes, she'll run in to the room and jump up on to the couch and like attack it, she'll jump all over on it and bite it, then jump off and attack something else. She can be so crazy sometimes. And when you walk by her she will run after and try to get your feet. But then she tires her self out and has to take a long nap.

Yes! I thought I was the only one- My cat, Pepper is a year old. She is the cat from hell. She chews a hole in th bottom of her plastic food bag when she has food in her bowl 24/7! She drops her toys into her waterbowl. And she will also find my elastic hairbinders and put them in there, too. She takes my jewelry and drags it around the house. She occasionally drags my clothes around the house and has learned how to open my bedroom door. She eats house plants and barfs them up again, AND she tries to eat my oatmeal in the morning!

Oh yes.. I have 4 cats and sometimes I just can't believe the things they do! My cat Peter waits until you leave your drink unattended and then he samples it with his paw, making a mess and splashing everywhere.. you have to bring your drink with you unless you like it stirred by cat paws. My cat Pearl is probably the worst.. you can't go to the bathroom without her.. nobody can she runs in there and bugs you for attention while you are on the john. The cats aren't allowed in the basement but if you try and go down there, Pearl somehow manages to slip down there as quick as lightning.. before you even see her, then she resists being brought back upstairs. Sometimes she even does this when I let the dogs out, she tries to slip outside really fast and its weird because she is sooo quick! If I bring home a bag of dog or cat food she will literally rip the bag up and scratch it all up if you don't put it where it belongs right away.. once you do she leaves it alone..lol I can't read a newspaper or book, wrap presents or do any kind of craft with her around she constantly jumps up and walks all over everything in your way. If you bring home grocery bags she will climb in them and purr.. My cat Topaz has to greet visitors and she will jump up on the table again and again and roll all around biting and chewing any objects on the table..lol They are crazy!! lol but I love them all dearly and wouldn't trade any of them for the world.. even though they ALL steal my seat if I get up for just one second!! ha ha

Other things my cats do... open my drawers and pull all the clothes out, lick the dirty dishes if they can, Peter ALWAYS closes my door and locks himself and everyone else in so that I have to tack my door open.. all try to lay on top of me at night, and act like little burrs when I try to move at all, cant leave any small objects like coins, nail clippers, pens on the table or they will become cat toys and dissappear. Heaven forbid this house should ever have a floor mat that stays in its rightful place.. or remains intact... I have given up on mats because I spend all my time straightening them out and putting them back in place, only to be crumpled again in 5 minutes! Can't have any knicknacks you want to stay intact on the window ledges.. during the 3 am cat race 500 they will surely be destroyed.. and nobody will admit their guilt..lol Ashtray left on the table?? forget it there will be cigarette butts strewn on the floor or couch after being discarded as impromptu toys. Ahh sometimes I think they enjoy wreaking havoc but it all is forgotten when I have one of four musical hot water bottles that never go cold nestled in my lap.

PS the persons post above reminded me... I can't have a hair elastic it will inevitebly be chewed in half or stolen and lost.. lol I switched to hair clips instead!!

sounds cute, my cats a monster! But in a worse way. Shes been mean sinse day 1. She hisses at me when i pass her she strikes out and growls as she attacks me when I try to hold her. When i scold her for biting me,..(she goes foe the veins in my hand),..she attacks again. Shes only sweet on her terms and shes only a year old. I never had a mean cat. I love her dearly reguardless of her badass attitude, i just wish she was more like yours! enjoy while you can, it could be worse!! lol

Oh yes... I've had lots of the little darlings!
My favorite was the one that liked attacking your feet when they moved under the covers. It was VERY funny when she attacked my then-boyfriend's feet when he was... otherwise occupied. I didn't keep the boyfriend, but I had the cat for another 12 years!

Yup. His name's Jasper. We have 3 other cats. They all hate him. Especially our oldest, Oliver. But Jasper has a special relationship with one of our other cats, Cricket. When ever he sees her, he runs up, and gives this slow motion hug.. They sit there for a while, and then they both fall over, and start fighting. It's really funny. And you can't eat cereal (or any other food for that matter) because he'll come up on the table and lie down about a foot away. Then he'll slowly scoot over so you won't notice him, and then you'll glance down and find him eating your food. He also attacks your feet. If you barely move your foot, he'll do the thing where he shakes his butt and his pupils get huge, and he'll pounce. He also likes to burrow under newspapers. You'll come into the room and see the newspapers on the floor all around the table, and him sitting like a lil' angel in the middle of the table. Oh! AND when he's sitting at the window, watching all the lil' critters move about, he'll do this weird chirping thing where he twitches his mouth really quickly, and after that, he'll climb up on the screen and just be hanging there for a minute. Btw, it's also really hard to type right now because he keeps walking back and forth over the keyboard and lying down on it and stuff. But he is so freaking cute. :-D

i have a 15 pound Maine c00n named Booger (pet name not show name) any hoo he's always been the boss of the house and he was very offended when i brought my then boyfriend home for the first time, he showed his displeasure by peeing and pooping on my boyfriends shirt in the middle of the night. a year later they get along fine.

about a month ago the satelite dish repair guy came over to fix the dish i let him in the house and Booger bolted down the stairs and flat out attacked the poor guy. Boo had all 15 pounds of himself wraped around the guys leg and his teeth were sunk into the guys panst and he was growling like i've never heard before..... the repair guy liked but Boo was strutting around the house like he was the king for the rest of the day.

who needs an attack dog when i have an attack cat?

Give him some catnip. That'll even the little bastard out.
