How do I meet other lesbians?

OK....so I was wrong. I tried to go with the social norms in society and push all the feeling that I had to the back and do what I was taught that I should do. I was neither true to myself nor anyone around me. I wound up with a little boy, who is now 7, which prompted me to get married so that he would have a "nuclear" family, something else that I was brainwashed into believing.

BUT....since I wasn't honest with anyone involved, I sit here divorced, looking to find a way back into the community in which I belong.

I know that I should have been honest with myself, but in the area that I grew up in, being "gay" was completely unacceptable and I tried to be as normal as I could be. I know that I am far from the only one that is in this situation.

What I want to know....now that I am older and I have come to terms with who I am, and could really care less what anyone else thinks about my life and how I live it, how do I meet other like minded people? I live south of Cincinnati area and I do not know how to go about meeting other people. All I know at this point is that I am completely and utterly alone.

I am not looking to meet someone to jump into the sack with鈥nd no I do not own a U-Haul鈥a ha鈥?I am just looking to meet other people. Once I do that, everything else will fall into place.

Hey congratulations on coming to terms with yourself.
On the internet info super-highway you can check for local groups that have a support group?
There is a website called downelink.com that you can register with just to see if there is a significant population in your city.
The website does seem to be full of youngins and some of the blogging - ehh. ?able @ best
