Make my "friend with benefits" my boyfriend?

i've had a crush on a really sweet guy i went to school with for years, then about 2 months ago he broke up with a serious girlfriend and moved back. we ran into each other, had too much to drink, and wound up in bed. i assumed I completely screwed things up, but he called me the next day and took me on an adorable date and has been going out of his way to plan fun things for us to do, invited me to meet his family, and called me his "novia" jokingly. i keep saying things like, "I dont wanna rush into anything," "I dont believe in monogamy" I guess I feel like an idiot and know l should've been harder to get. we live in different cities (about two hours away) and I dont know what to do. He doesnt call everyday. Everytime he leaves, I never know if I'm going to see him again. I'm terrified that he's just using me for sex but I really care about him and think that he does me too on some level. Is it too late for a relationship, and if not what can/should I do? I really need advice!!
