I asked this guy....?

I asked this guy do you care about me?

He said: like how?

I said: as a friend

He said: you are a friend and that鈥檚 it.

I said: caring as hanging out and having fun. Hugs and cuddling or what?

I said: any ideas?

He said: At this point I wound not go that far.

What is this guy saying based on this conversation we had tonight? Explain what I should ask him or assume from this conversation? Any questions I should ask him to better understand what he is trying to say to me but didn鈥檛 really come out and say it. ????

What questions can I ask him, to find out what he REALLY is trying to tell me. I don't just want to assume his answer. I really want to know his reason behind this. What's the right words to say for him to tell me more about this problem???

He is saying all he wants to be is your friend so please do not get any romantic ideas about the two of you. I would leave it alone and just be his friend and not hug or kiss him or you will lose him as even a friend.

he said at this point I would not go that far right thats a sign to drop it if you ask me honestly and also by the comment you are a friend and that's it it speaks volumes .

Be patient. Don't push the issue. He may not be that into you or it may just be too early for him to answer honestly.

Sounds like he's saying "I want to have a friendship with you but not intimate". The sort of friendship I imagine you would have with one of your girlfriends (given that you're not gay) so you can enjoy each others company but not go to the next level.

I can see you really care about this guy but this guy is not into you but you should appreciate that he respects you as a friend and should do likewise if you push this any further you going to get hurt much more than you are now.Another angle you can consider is to make him jealous without being obvious about it maybe just maybe it can work
