How can your love for your religion leave you blind and ignorant so readily?

everytime i ask a question about christianity or catholicism not one person who is of either faith actually READS THE QUESTION. they post un-answers filled with a bunch on non-sensical accusations and insults like i'm the stupid one when they are the ones getting all wound up over a book they can't even agree on reading the same copy of. not to mention they can't confirm or validate the source or any of the authors. you are chasing myths like romans so blindly that it prevents you from thinking outside the box. when someone challenges your system with facts all you can think to do is challenge them radther than look at the facts and formulate a reasonable explaination for why it is the way it is. i don't care why you are a christian or catholic or why you believe what you believe but what i do care about is how it affects you reason and logic. so my question is why can't christians or catholics come up with a REAL answer for anything? it's funny because your probably wont have one now.

THAT my friend is the problem with both belief and faith.
I have found that the less self obtained reason for an opinion people have, the harder and the more viciously they'll defend it.
THAT is the problem believers have.
People that have come to an opinion and conclusion via their own rationality, don't mind having that examined, because THEY are interested whether there are any chinks in their reasoning, to correct any misconceptions they have, because they really want to know what is correct. They also know, that conclusions might have been skewed by bad data (which there always is plenty of, unfortunately).
Only conditioning (as opposed to thinking) will give you absolute certainty (or the illusion thereof). It is of course a lazy and low IQ way to observe (or rather not!) the world.

Actually, I don't love my religion... just my maker. Regardless, if someone already knows a truth then rejects anothers lie they are called "narrow minded" and fanatics and brainwashed. Regardless, there is 1 truth about God all others are a lie.

ask Jesus into your life and be born again by the power of the Gospel (an actual real life event in your real life) if you do this in a prayer sincerely God will answer you! you have to truely seek then God will answer!

You are asking a question that you want answered by those who rely on faith and an ancient belief system. They will all spout old and new testament at you and dazzle you with quotes. But, unfortunately you have asked a question that doesn't have a real answer or at least on that will make sense to anyone with half a brain. Now, may I ask you what is reality? If you have a ready answer, you don't know; if you say you don't know, what else is there to say? I rest my case.

It's not a love of one's faith that makes one blind or ignorant ... it is the belief that YOUR way is the ONLY way.

We have too many fundamentalists of all religions who believe they are the only ones with the RIGHT faith and RIGHT beliefs.

To them, all others are heathen, evil, infidels or just wrong. It is THEY who are wrong, however.

God is more about love than hate ... which is one essential thing the fundamentalists are overlooking ... or ignoring.

First of all, let's get one thing straight, Catholics ARE Christians, so you don't need to say Catholics OR Christians. Secondly, when you attack someone's religion like it seems you are doing with Christianity, you will get many "un-answers" and comments that point to your stupidity. Although there are many versions of the Bible, the basic message of salvation through Jesus' death on the cross rings true in all of them. And yes, we can confirm some of the authors of the books of the Bible, and yes the rest are unknown or we guess at. If you knew much about Jesus time, you would know that after His death, His followers were severely persecuted for spreading the good news which would explain why some of the writers were not eager to sign their names. So in answer to your first question, Christianity does not affect my reason or my logic. There you are, not why I believe or why I am a Christian, just how it affects me. There's a real answer for you. And in answer to your second question about why can't Christians come up with a REAL answer to something?? Well we can. There's a REAL answer for ya, you just read it.

Religion is man made. So man must make others agree with them any way they can because they know it is not the right thing.
According to John in Revelations, God sent an angel and told
John to write what he saw.
In Daniel, God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in him and wrote through him.
Although God wants everyone to go to heaven, many will not
because of sin. The sin of disbelief is what condems souls to
hell. Believing that you are a sinner, in need of a savior, and
that Jesus left the glory of heaven to become man to teach about
God`s love and ultimately die (become the blood sacrifice) to pay for our sins and accept that His death is payment and ask Him to be your personal savior is the way to eternal salvation.
Many people are too intellegent to believe anything unless it is proven to them. Many people believe only in themselves and cannot comprehend a God that will love them know matter what
they do. But if they believe, and ask for forgiveness, they will be saved from damnation and God will change their hearts and open their eyes to His Word.
