Nose Piercing? |
Can anyone help me I had my nose pierced almost 5 weeks ago and have developed a small bump on the inside of my nose. I've been told it's a keloid and if it doesn't go away I will have to remove my piercing. I've been using doctor pierce anti-bacterial cleanser to care for it, the bump has never pussed or bleed, is there anything else I can do to care for this problem I really don't want to have to remove my piercing. When I had it pierced it was done with these new nose piercing guns which is thrown away after each use I've been told that the guns are bad could this be the reason I've gotten a keloid? Also for about 5 days when I had it pierced I was using peroxide which I was told from a pharmacist that using peroxide will take it longer for the wound to heal, so I stopped and bought the anti-bacterial cleanser. Also I have a straight post in my nose with no backing and occasionally it comes out when I'm sleeping can this also cause it to take longer to heal? Getting your nose pierced with a gun is pretty bad because it's a blunter object being forced through your nose which is not only more painful but also harder for healing. That said, it's too late now so I shan't lecture! its probably just a little air bubble. but yeah if it doesn't go away you need to stop wearing your noes ring Well, maybe only take out your piercing for a couple of days. See if the bump clears up. some people's bodies are naturally prone to heal with keloid scars. sometimes they have to even be surgically removed. although i don't imagine yours is that big or bothersome....but there's nothing much you can do at this point. --- you probably should've gotten pierced with a needle...i didn't even know they peirced noses with a gun anymore. it sounds like you might have gone to like a mall or something. try going to a real peircing place....they are usually really knowledgable and can probably give you some advice. Try using sea salt and warm water. It made my keloid go away, there is no need to remove the piercing unless ity gets infected. Good luck!! My niece developed a small keloid in one of her ears from having them pierced. She had to remove her earrings and let her ear piercings grow shut. I had the same problem. Here is what I did: DO NOT USE PEROXIDE!!! It could be a keloid or just some swollen skin. If you dont use a stainless surgical steel nose stud then in most cases this could most likely be the case, i have had this happen to me before, so i changed my piercing to a stainless surgical steel nose stud and the lump went away, also, when i went to ask the tattoo store were i got it pierced they said you can never tell weather the piercing is 100% stainless steal cos of cheap imports. Anyways i have heard that using tea tree oil has helped removed lumps or infections from the nose ((but do not use a cuttonbud to apply this to your nose)) Heres some helpful links to treating the course: |
