Brown Recluse bite?

I think I was bitten by a brown recluse. I never felt it, and first noticed the spot on my calf 5 days ago. It became more and more painful, to the point that I can feel it when walking or even just standing up. A red rash developed around the spot, about 3-4 inches in diameter. I still wasn't sure what it was and drained some pus/fluid from the wound 3 days ago. 2 days ago just a bit of blood came out. It is still red and the tissue around the wound, in my calf, feels very hard. The place where the "bite mark" would've been is now a small dark scab, and the skin around it (about nickel-sized) is becoming bluish-purple. It is still a bit swollen and painful. It's been 5 days since I first noticed it, and 4 1/2 days since it first became rashy/painful. Do I need to go to a doctor or are there other ways to take care of it? Thanks in advance.

You better get to a doctor ASAP, if it was a brown recluse you are going to need antibiotics and maybe even have that part of your bite taken out surgically. This is nothing to play around with, these bites can be very dangerous and deadly.

You need to get to the doctors. You now have an infection in the tissue and need antibiotics because it will only get worst if left untreated.

If you were bitten by a brown recluse your flesh would be deteriorating and eating itself away in 24 hours.

You need to go to the hospital. Brown recluse bites can be very dangerous, even lethal, if left untreated. Basically, when this spider bites you, he injects a toxin into you and that toxin will destroy the underlying tissue in the surrounding area. If you don't get treatment now, you may end up having to have part of the leh amputated.

yes, i was bitten by a brown recluse and i went to the emergency room, they gave me a tetanus shot and anti-biotics. the skin where you were bitten will usually die, mine Made a perfect circle and the skin inside that circle died and i got sick.

Along with seeing what a doctor thinks about your bite....try this.....simmer equal amounts of garlic cloves and onion together with as little water possible. Make a poultices (mash the two together and apply to a band-aide) Change every few hours. It may be too late for this but I would give it a try.

Sounds like a serious Brown Recluse bite. You may have slowed the "man eating toxins" by draining the bite of infection, but that painful bluish area is where your skin is dying, and it will get larger and larger until it is treated.
