Treating a cat with a rat bite? |
i think it looks like my cat has a rat bite on his paw. the area is read and swollen. i can't get him to the vet because they are closed for the long weekend and our emergency vet is just swamped with calls so she can't see him. is there anything i can do to care for the bite until someone can see him? i've cleaned the wound and put some polysporin on it but it's not looking any better. he's not showing any signs for rabies Try wrapping it in a warm cloth with epsom salts for a little while could the rat possibly have rabies? I seriously dought that it was a rat bite, it'n it suppose to be the other way around? It's probably a snake bite or a spider bite |
