Aftercare for a rejected belly button piercing? |
I noticed that it was bleeding and infected. I did as I was told. My body started rejecting it and soon enough the skin was tight and thin and almost transparent. I could see a little of the bar through the skin!! and about thirty min ago it finally fell out the top ball and all. It had ripped from being tight. ewww but anyways, I called a piercing palce and the guy said I should of gone in sooner when I noticed it red and disgusting looking. I thought it was just infected so I cleaned it but nope it was rejected. I then asked how long it will take to heal, He said 2 1/2 to three months. Then, he said after 2-3 months I can get it done. I dont know if I want to get it done again since it rejected it. But I have a question or 2...in your opinion if your body rejected a piercing would you get it done again? and how do I take care of it now since it fell out. It is like a messy wound..now what? I want it to heal properly! I have my belly button pierced, and it hasn't been rejected so far - thank God!! But I would definitely not get it pierced again after it has healed! If your body rejected it once it could reject it again. Some people are just more prone to that than others. I don't think it will be worth it in the long run to be honest...Get something else pierced instead if you are dying for another piercing. Well, lets start with the obvious...if there is still infection you need to take steps to clear that up. I would go to your family doctor. if that isn't possible, clean it daily (even a couple of times a day) with peroxide and then apply and antibiotic ointment until it is cleared. If it is bad enough, go to the ER since you may need antibiotics to clear the infection. About a year ago i got a bridge piercings that my body rejected basically the same way your belly ring did but i took it out before it fell out any ways theres a scar there not too bad but its there any ways as much as i wanted to i never got it redone so found another piercing to get which turned out great |
