Do I have Restless Leg Syndrome?

Sometimes I'm awakened in the middle of the night by my cat having a hissy fit. My cat sleeps on top of my bed near my feet. Apparently she gets jostled by my constant kicking that goes on underneath my covers. I'm asleep during the ordeal, but I'm usually awakened by my cat letting out a loud shriek. I'm afraid if I don't take care of my restless kicking may wind up hurling my cat across the bedroom and slamming her into a wall! What can I do to keep from catapulting my cat?

Usually, RLS keeps you awake, unable to sleep because of the feelings in the legs. I wonder if you might be dreaming instead. I know people who move a great bit in their sleep due to dreams and they don't even know they are doing it. My mom used to have to protect herself from my dad's flinging arms while he slept! Anyway, there are more symptons to RLS that would indicate that is the problem. You can get help for either problem but will need to see your doctor to find out what it is for sure.

Poor kitty, will she curl up higher in the bed instead of your legs? Maybe you can coax her to settle down in another safer spot. Good luck!

Definitely see your doctor. If it is, they can spare your kitty by writing a prescription.

I also have Restless Leg Synodrome. I talked to my Dr. and he gave me free samples of Requip. I take .0.5 mg. It works for me I hope this help. Oh, long hot baths works wonders too.
