How do i take care of my dog's bite wound?

How do i take care of my dog's bite wound?

Do you know how your dog got the bite (what type of animal bit him, etc.)? If it is only a small wound, you can flush the wound with a solution of 50% water and 50% hydrogen peroxide (available over the counter at any drugstore, usually for about $1.29). You will want to dab the wound with clean gauze, and take care not to rub it. The wound should heal on its own, but if you notice any pus or any increased tenderness of the area, it may be infected, and you will need to take your dog to the veterinarian. Hope this helps.

This question should be posted in the pet section.

If your dog was bitten by another animal, you need to take it to the vet immediately.

Vets carry a medication, (topical) called granulex. I would get some if I were you.

This link is just to give you an idea of what it does. See your Vet to make sure he / she has no infection in the wound and ask the vet for this spray. IT WORKS.

your dog may need an antibiotic and then use hydrogen peroxide to clean wound you may have to open it back up if it started to heal up to keep puss and infection draining out. clean several times a day. It should start healing up soon.

rinse it as well as possible, then neosporne, then......VET!!!!

wait... I'm a bit confused, are you saying that your dog was bitten or you were bitten by your dog? either way, you need to was the wound thoroughly with soap and water. An antiseptic would be nice to consider too. Then go visit your doctor for a shot (maybe for tetanus or rabies), errr... or the vet maybe... whatever applies to your case.
