What is the best way to cleanse an wound??what are the motions and how many pieces of gauze used per motion?

wound care

Depends what type of wound. For a normal cut, run it under lukewarm water, then pat dry. Next pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide over the wound, to cleanse the bacteria. Next apply an oinment such as neosporin over the cut, then bandage. If it's a small cut use a regular bandage, for a large cut use a piece of guaze then use butterfly bandages or regular ones to keep it in place. If sever bleeding occurs hold a cloth of guaze to the wound until professional help has arrived.

wash it out with gently flowing lukewarm water

you want to avoid infection so step 1 is wash your hands 30 sec with soap. sterile gauze are better, one way is to tap gently another is to use a seringue filled with sterile water , I have used peroxyde also, quite good it dries the skin and disolves any infectious, but all depends on size of wound and if it is a cut or puncture etc

First if there are any foreign objects in the wound (ie: rocks, sticks, glass....etc..) you will need to remove them with tweezers. Than clean the effected area with 5 drops of tea tree oil to 1/2 cup warm water. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and will keep the wound from infection.

I am into using salted water...but also use tea tree oil ...with the salt water bathing I don't use anything except my hands (after washing them separately).
I recently, while gardening, removed a thumbnail size of flesh from my shin... after a salt water soak and cleanse I used a butterfly band-aid, gauze & paper tape to seal it ... it healed well. naturally I kept up the daily salt bath and kept it covered for a week or so until it grew a few layers of skin over the bone.

JUST CLEAN IT WITH ANTI BACTERIAL SOAP AND WATER, IF ITS A OPEN WOUND AND BLEEDING SPRINKLE SOME CAYENNE POWDERED RED PEPPER ON IT (KILLS BACTERIA ) AND STOPS THE BLEEDKING, THEN SUPER GLUE IT SHUT, YOUR ALL SET

The size of the wound is critical to knowing how to treat it. I'm assuming that if it's a good sized one you're going to the doctor. Aside from that, most abrasions and small cuts can be cleaned with peroxide. Simply pour peroxide over the wound and let it run into the sink. If wiping is necessary use sterile guaze and one constant motion per guaze pad. Typically you start at one point and work in a circular motion. Discard the guaze after cleansing 3-4 centimeters.
