Best wound care products for surgical incision?

What do I put on a 20cm surgical incision located on my lower abdomen to heal the wound and leave a barely-there scar?

This is a cosmetic procedure.

Thanks.

I've gotten surgery before. I found a product that really works.

Lesseee.... it's called: Polysporin Bacitracin Zinc

It's an anitbiotic ointment. And after the wound heals, use a scar removal cream to remove final traces of scars.

I'd check with the doctor first....
BUT...if it was me, I'd use one of those "triple antibiotic" ointments...neosporin, bacitracin, mycitracin things....keep it covered, keep it moist with the ointment, it will heal like nobody's bidness!

And if it DOES leave a bit of a scar, use mederma. Later tho, not while it's "fresh".

Take lots of vitamian E 1000 IU. And I saw on the news that if you can afford it Botox keeps the muscles relaxed so there is no pulling. They showed pics and it was wow. Maybe you can google it. Good Luck

Just gentle soap and water. Don't scrub, that will aggravate it. They have an ointment called Mederma that reduces the appearance of a scar. You can get it pretty much anywhere- and while it is expensive, it does work. I've had 2 c-sections and you can hardly tell. Good luck!
